A Texas megachurch pastor has claimed that President Barack Obama's re-election victory would lead the rise of the Antichrist. Robert Jeffress said the Sunday before the election that if Obama won, he would help lead in the reign of the Antichrist.
Jeffress did not call Obama the Anti-Christ. The Anti-Christ, from Christian prophecy, is the man who is the "son of the devil" that would bring the world into a one world order, attempt to eliminate all Christians, and then lead an army against heaven.
Jeffress said, "I want you to hear me tonight, I am not saying that President Obama is the Antichrist, I am not saying that at all. One reason I know he's not the Antichrist is the Antichrist is going to have much higher poll numbers when he comes. President Obama is not the Antichrist. But what I am saying is this: the course he is choosing to lead our nation is paving the way for the future reign of the Antichrist."
Jeffress continued, "it is time for Christians to stand up and to push back against this evil that is overtaking our nation" and to do so via the ballot box."
There will be many non-Christians and Christian-lite people who will say Jeffress is crazy. Crazy means someone who is affected with madness; insane. Jeffress is not crazy but that does not mean he is right.
If you understand Bible prophecy, it is not hard to see how society could be making a turn for the worst from a Christian perspective. The Bible goes into detail how the world will end as we know it, who will lead it to it's end, and what events will take place in order for this to happen.
It is well known that Barack Obama is not a traditionally Christian by any means. He does not believe in a heaven, he does not believe that Christ is the only way to God, he does not like to believe the Bible is the absolute truth, he believes Jesus is a socialist, and he believes that a sin is being out of step with his own moral views - not the laws of God. To understand Obama's views on Christianity, go read this interview he did with Cathleeen Falsani.
I encourage anyone who reads this story to go out and research the Book of Revelation and what it means to understand where Jeffress to come out. You can't deny his claim without knowing why he is wrong theologically.
