Mass Layoffs After Obama Wins (List) "Elections Have Consquences" Says Business Owners

Since the re-election of Obama, a lot of businesses have closed shop or have slimmed down. Here is a list of recent company layoffs and shutdowns since November 6th's results.

In Las Vegas, a business owner with 114 employees fired 22 workers today because 'Obama was elected and his policies are crushing small business.'

A Utah coal company has laid off 102 miners because of Obama's policies. Obama said in 2008, "So, if somebody wants to build a coal plant, they can - it's just that it will bankrupt them, because they are going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted." And since then, his people have complained that he is doing so and more coal working Americans are out of work than ever before.

Energizer, a St. Louis company, announced yesterday that they plan to cut 1,500 employees

Welch Allyn, a company that manufactures medical diagnostic equipment in central New York, announced in September that they would be laying off 275 employees, or roughly 10% of their workforce over the next three years. They said the major reason was due to the Obamacare's new healthcare laws and mandates

Westinghouse announced the day after the elction that they are reducing their workforce by another 50 employees

Dana Holding Corp, who employees 25,500 worldwide, says because of Obamacare they will be laying off many people due to an additional $24 million cost increase in health care benefits over the next six years.

Research in Motion Limited - Makers of BlackBerry smartphones announced just this Wednesday they are laying off 200 people in Irving.

New York company Stryker, who employs 1,170, is laying off 96 jobs in December to combat the new medical device tax.

Boston Scientific is cutting anywhere between 1,200 to 1,400 due to proposed taxes in the health care reform bill. They also are preparing to shift investments and workers overseas to China because of the costs.

Lighyyear Network Solutions - One dozen employees at the Pikeville company lost jobs this week.

Boeing Co - plans to employ less than 30 percent than usual at it's Boeing Defense, Space & Security unit by the end of 2012

Medtronic cut 500 positions over the summer and are going to be cutting 500 more by the end of 2013 due to Obamacare taxes.

Providence Journal Co. has laid off 23 full time workers on Wednesday.

Brooke Burke Thyroid Cancer Video Reveal: Burke is 'Happy' About It?

Brooke Burke-Charvet announced the results of her thyroid cancer diagnosis. The "Dancing with the Stars" co-host revealed to shock fans today that she indeed has the cancer.

Brooke said in the video, "I feel really good. I've never felt better. That's what's so crazy about this whole thing, and you never ever think that some tiny nodule, something that I didn't even know was going on in my body -- I went for a regular physical, and that's how I discovered this."

Burke-Charvet has been keeping her fans updated since July after a doctor found a lumb in her thyroid during an ultrasound.

CBS reported, "Thyroid cancer is a form of cancer that is found in the thyroid gland, an organ found at the bottom of your throat that helps make hormones that regulate heart rate, blood pressure, blood temperature and weight. There are several types of thyroid cancer including papillary carcinoma (which accounts for eight out of 10 diagnoses), follicular carcinoma (including kinds of Hurthle cell carcinoma), medullary thyroid carcinoma, anaplastic carcinoma, thyroid lymphoma and thyroid sarcoma."

Burke-Charvet is to undergo surgery. Thyroidectomy, she said, "means that I'm going to have a nice big scar right here across my neck. And, I don't get to just walk around and pretend that nothing happened and not follow up and not share it because it's going to be pretty much dead center."

Usher Angers Georgian Voters After Being Allowed To Skip Large Lines

The singer known as Usher angered voters in the Atlanta area after he contacted election officials to allow him to bypass long lines and cast his ballot. Usher Raymond IV was escorted past a huge line at the Roswell polling place in Fulton county causing people in line to "jeer" and "boo" him.

The Roswell polling place said they tried to make it go by as quickly as possible however new details prove that wasn't the case. Usher was taking cellphone pictures of himself voting and then posted them on Twitter.

You can't go as "quickly as possible" if your too busy taking photos and posting them to Twitter.

In most cases, Georgia law states it's illegal to take a video inside a polling place unless the poll manager says it's okay. Usher was given this special permission while others in line were not.

Many are upset that Usher didn't vote absentee. Apparently, he would rather show up and act like a "prince" then a citizen of the United States of America.

I am calling for the freeing of Mark Basseley Youssef. He has been sentenced to a year in jail after being unfairly blamed by the U.S. government over the 9/11/12 attacks. This is an outrage.

This man and his family have been destroyed because of the lies of the Obama administration. Youssef was incorrectly blamed for the violent uprisings on Middle East U.S. embassies and CIA safe houses. The Government laughably claimed it was all because of his short 14-minute anti-Muslim film. Now the Government claims "it might have been terrorism" despite government emails and video footage proving they know it was.

The unraveling of the Libya scandal proves that Youssef is INNOCENT of not causing the riots in the middle-east. It's insane to think that Muslims living on dirt streets would all of sudden be offended by the internet on 9/11. There are thousands upon thousands of anti-Muslim movies, shows, videos, websites, pictures but somehow we are to believe that they found Youssef's video on Youtube when the world didn't even know it existed? 14,000 views were on that video when we checked it the day after the Libya scandal. That's hardly enough to start a riot when no one has even really seen it.

Just try to imagine a Muslim man on the dirt streets of Libya logging into Youtube, typing in the name of Youssef's video (having knowledge of it's name), and then getting angry and telling all of his friends. Are you kidding me?

People who log into the internet know you have to have a spine for your beliefs. Why would a Muslim in the middle-east be any different? We are being lied to. This was a coordinated attack.
Youssef was a lamb to the Obama administration. He was sacrificed over the altar in the Oval Office by Barack Hussein Obama. And no one has stopped him because Youssef is a criminal.

Is Youssef a great guy? No. Did he break laws? Yes. Was he unfairly targeted by our government? Yes!!!

Clinton and the Obama Administration made good on their promises to the Libya victims. They promised they would send Youssef in jail despite no prior knowledge of who he was and if he had actually broken any laws. Meanwhile, they are sweeping Benghazi under the rug with the help of the major media. They are dodging questions and hoping we forget. We will not forget Mr. Obama. You may be the President of the United States for another four years but freedom, truth, and God will see to it that you are brought to justice.

I have never been so ashamed by my country.

McDonald's Facing Obama Takeover? Stocks Drops 2.2 Percent, Poor People Suffering

Would Barack Obama bailout the fast-food industry?

For the first time since 2003, McDonald's Corp says that key sales figure fell in October. What does that say about the economy when the cheapest hot food you can get readily prepared is dropping in sales?

McDonald's Corp dropped 1.8 percent for the month. The AP reported, "The fast-food chain says the figure fell 2.2 percent in both the U.S. and Europe. In the region encompassing Asia, the Middle East and Africa, it dropped 2.4 percent."

I wonder what the President would do if McDonald's started going bankrupt. Would Michelle Obama beg her husband to save a fast-food industry that started in America and feeds millions and millions of people daily?

Don't hold your breath fast-food lovers. If it ever came to that, Obama would turn McDonald's into the biggest vegetable burger chain in the world.

‘The Hobbit’ Film Faces Backlash For HFR 'Soap Opera' Effect In Theaters: 24-Fps Movies Dying

People are freaking out over how "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" has been shot at double the high frame rate. It looks weird, it looks "hyper-realistic", and it looks like a TV soap opera. HFR technology will likely turn off movie theater viewers.

Call me old fashion, but when I watch movies and TV shows I turn off the "smooth motion/real cinema" mode. It's too real and it loses that magic feel of movies that I've grown up on for most of my life.

EXPLANATION: Soap operas are shot on *videotape* at 60 frames per second, rather than film which is 24 frames per second.  Film is expensive, which is why the low frame rate, it's the lowest that was considered practical for smoothish motion + sound.  Video is faster but cheaper.  The interpolation basically makes the film look more like video. "The Hobbit" is filmed at 48 frames.

Regal Theaters issued a memo about HFR technology:

The HFR 3D version of the film will require the traditional 3D movie glasses.

So far, the format has garnered negative reviews after it was shown at the CinemaCon convention in APril. Director Peter Jackson however refuses to change the format. He said, "It does take you a while to get used to."

Fans of the 24-frames per second format will still get to see the movie at that rate. Non-3D versions of the film will be shown at that rate.

It looks like the traditional 24-fps format is going the way of the dinosaur as more and more directors want the high-tech format of HFR.

Before it was taken down off the internet by Mitt's people, Roll Call's Taegan Goddard grabbed some screenshots. Take a look at the "President-Elect Romney" website.

The website states: "I'm excited about our prospects as a nation. My priority is putting people back to work in America."

OUTRAGE: Dillian Warden, 3, Charged $2,500 For Public Urination On Front Lawn

 A potty training toddler, Dillian, has earned his mother a $2500 ticket for not being able to hold it while in the front yard of the home in which they reside in Oklahoma.

When our young offender, pulled down his pants to go in the front yard (instead of going in his pull-ups), an officer drove by and handed his mother, Ashley Warden, a ticket for public urination, according to KCTV 5.  Our perpetrator’s grandmother wonders why this officer has been spending tax dollars harassing their family in a rural Oklahoma neighborhood.

This is ridiculous!  Poor Dillian will be afraid to go anywhere but his pants again! And to think this is where our tax dollars go. This officer really has nothing better to do.

Ohio Robber Tells Clerk "Vote for Obama" At Gunpoint: Will Democrats Endorse Him?

 A robber at a Warren convenience store on Tuesday held a clerk at gunpoint and told him that he must vote for President Barack Obama.

According to WKBN, a man wearing a white bandana covering his nose and lower face robbed the Convenient Food Mart at 3120 Parkman Road N.W. at gunpoint at 8 p.m. on Tuesday. While holding a gun up to the clerk's face, witnesses say that the robber repeatedly asked the clerk who did he vote for.

The clerk responded 'I cannot vote' and the gunman told him to "vote for Obama. This is Obama (expletive)" before leaving the crime scene.

The robber reportedly asked the clerk to give him everything in the cash register. The clerk handed the robber money and that's when he was questioned on who he voted for.

Donald Trump Calls For "Revolution" After Obama Election On Twitter

TV personality and Business mogul Donald Trump is calling for a "revolution" after President Barack Obama won re-election last night. But then, he deleted his tweets.

Trump was upset because he believed that states were being called prematurely when in actuality, were being called correctly. Trump called the election a "sham".

I'd like to note that Trump deleted his tweets calling for revolution after Obama ended up winning the popular vote by over 2 million people.

Trump tweeted that he hopes the House of Representatives keeps Obama in check.

It should be noted that Obama was caught on camera telling Russian President Dmitry Medvedev that he expects to have "more flexibility" after his re-election. I doubt the House of Representatives will be able to stop Obama this term.

Chris Matthews Endorses Murder: Thanks Hurricane Sandy For 2012 Election Results

 

Chris Matthews has thanked and endorsed the 'murder and destruction' of Hurricane Sandy because he believes it helped Obama's get reelected.

MSNBC commentator Chris Matthews is facing backlash from conservative groups after saying that he was "glad" that Hurricane Sandy hit the east coast. Matthews claims that the hurricane helped propel Barack Obama into a second term as president.

Here is what Matthews said:

"I am so proud of the country. To reelect this president and overcoming -- not because of the partisanship or even the policies. Here's an African-American guy with an unusual background -- part immigrant background, part African-American background -- with all this assault on him from day one. From Mitch McConnell, from the clowns out there that will never be elected, never will be to anything."

"And the way he took it, as someone said, with coolness and charm and dignity and took it and took it and kept moving forward and doing his job. And the American people, and I know we look at these percentage, 40% of white vote. Fine. That's about right among Democrats in the last couple cycles, three cycles or four. Good work for them. Good work for him. A good day for America."

I'm so glad we had that storm last week because I think the storm was one of those things. No, politically I should say. Not in terms of hurting people. The storm brought in possibilities for good politics."

110 people died because of Hurricane Sandy with more bodies being found. Hurricane Sandy caused over $50 billion worth of damage. In New York, people are dumpster diving for food and many homes have been completely destroyed. Lives have been destroyed. To politicize this disaster is yet another tragedy of Hurricane Sandy.

Chris Matthews should be ashamed of himself for being thankful for a hurricane making results allegedly go "his way" in an election. This is beyond politics, it's a tragedy and it breaks the hearts of millions of suffering Americans.

David Jimenez Video: Sues "God" Because A 600-lb Crucifix Cut Off His Leg

Weird church incident sign from God? David Jimenez is taking St. Patrick's Church in Newburgh, New York to court over an accident that occurred there in May 2010. This accident occurred when a huge cross weighing 600 lbs fell on his leg resulting in amputation of that leg. Jimenez, 45, is now hoping to gain money in an out of a court case from St. Patrick's church. The trial is scheduled for January in Orange County Court according to The Associated Press.

How could this happen you ask? Jimenez's attorney, Kevin Kitson, claimed that [Jimenez] had prayed at the cross when his wife was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Once she recovered, Jimenez decided to clean the crucifix out of gratitude for his wife's healing.

During the cleaning of this 600 pound cross, the cross fell on his leg. Jimenez was seriously injured. Jimenez was rushed to the hospital and that's when he learned that his leg would have to be amputated.

Jimenez is unable to work and is suing St. Patrick's church for $3 million dollars in damages. Kitson's argument is that the church is responsible because the cross was held in place by only a single "useless" screw with no anchoring system.

St Patrick's Church's insurance company has yet to come up with a settlement. Despite the Church's efforts to collect food and funds for Jimenez in the wake of this tragic mishap, Jimenez is still hoping for his day in court and a ruling in his favor.
